Just a though on the light box tracks. It looks like with all the weight of the bulbs/reflectors, etc, you might do well with a center track in the middle. If that's possible with your framing. That might take some of the weight off the fully extended box. Heck, for even better distribution, you could put a pair of them up top (they work sideways I believe). Just an idea for piece of mind.
Looking exceptional, BTW.

thanks rppvt, I have them mounted 8" from the top of the tank which the total height is 16", also I have ordered another pair for redundancy and have it mounted on the bottom about 2" from top of tank...these slides rail will hold 500lbs each pair and with all the support I have, I don't think it will move anytime soon. weight on light fixtures should be ok with 3 lumenarc III and a lot vho's.

Agree. Doubling the slides is easier and makes a lot of sense. Of course I took the harder route!

that's cool, but they slide out perfectly without any problems. if i was to mount them on the top, i would have to get different brackets they sells and thats means more real estate will be taken so saving as much as possible.

ok i manage to skip work and started on my cabinet today, will be finished later on tonight and pics will be coming..

you have a job?

ok here are the latest update, and yes I did skip work to start on my cabinet. 1st thing I did was to make template using 2x4, then screw on to the cabinet cover so router can be used to make perfect cut & edges. sorry but didn't have time to take pictures of that. next was to round all edges down then 5 layers of spar finish to coat the back. next 2" strips was cut & sanded down for cabinet stopper then doors was cut and sanded also. finally mounted back onto the wall. tomorrow agenda--doors hinges, canopy and trimming. I should be able to fill ro/di water beginning of the week..

CB..You're making a lot of progress..looks great. I am looking back at your plumbing photos and wondering if you are using a separate pump for your chiller and another for your skimmer & reactors? What chiller are you using for your system? Your light canopy looks amazing, motorized?? Keep up the good work and the pictures coming!

You should receive some kind of award for your plumbing ! :D

I would die before doing that much plumbing hehe

Nice progress !

laminate is ok, but I chose carbonized because of durability is little more pricey. also available in scratch resistant too but its high

I'm really impressed that you didn't have many problems with all that plumbing. Obviously you've done this before!
