sure russell anytime, as long your not bringing a crowd i will be ok. my brother stays in turtle creek so i know the ride will be about 50 miles.

I have to say- the way you have painted the wall and moulding to achieve that blended look is truly great. A lot of custom installs i ahve seen on here do not look as elegant. I can't wait to see the finished tank- please keep updating with pics!

ok finally finished with cabinet and I am happy how this turn out, just plain and simply exactly how I liked it. I figure if all the trim molding was painted white then I can tell where the tank begin and ends. since i have blended the cabinet in, the entire wall has such a better view from all different angles. :fun4:
i will be working on lighting this week then chiller will be mounted and finished the rest of plumbing. 1 step closer on getting rocks & water in. :celeb1:

Yeah its amazing and theres not anything in it yet..

I am trying to move as fast as I can at the same time working. I am sorry but this is 600gal-1300gal system, not 60 gal:rolleye1:
I am getting closer so taking my time and in between spending time with the kids. I thought I could finished this about 1 month when tank was ordered yeah right.:eek1: :eek2: I probably put about 6 weeks of work toward this project counting my break time in between. give me a break eric, hehe:bum:

Bart your tank is looking amazing. I can't wait to see more pics as your progress continues.

Not sure if this was already in your plans or not but I was just looking at another monster tank thread and the guy was using his RO run off to water his garden and top off his pool.

Not sure if you have a pool but I think using the excess water for irrigation is brilliant. I hate walking by my utility sink and listening to the RO unit waste gallon after gallon of water.

Good luck and keep the pics coming!

thanks, but I am still undecided on inground pool and bar room w/quest room addition for my backyard. all my drain including protein nog, ro waste, water change waste, and sump overflow drain will be connected to main house sewer system. the good thing that my fish room is in my garage so I will be able to eliminate a lot of problems.

I like how the tank fits into that living space. Nice job.

thanks Marc, I wanted to get 10' L but my garage didn't go that far back so 8' was the max. I could have gone with 7' to even out both side, but needed to get 8' to make me happy :D . 2' on right side and 3' on left is the length, its a little off but who's perfect :mixed: . I don't know why I didn't think about going wider to create that infinity look similar to steve's setup since I almost copied most of it:lolspin:.

My tank sat in my back yard for months filling up with leaves. The room construction alone took about 3 months if I remember correctly. I can't remember the entire amount of time it took, but I do remember it was a full mnth just to fill it up with RO/DI water.

I use my RO/DI wastewater to water my vegetable garden, but I wouldn't recommend it for a pool at all. That's asking for trouble. With cncentrated nitrates, phosphates, iron, etc. that can only lead to algal blooms and discoloration. And who needs THAT in a pool??!!??

Bart you progress is impressive. Wow ..

I want to get started soon. It will most likely take me the rest of the year to start going a wall system. I think I have most of my planning done. I am sure all you guys know how projects just keep piling up.
Oh well ..Looks great..

thanks eric and i will be filling it up soon. i was hoping to finished before the month is over since my b-day coming up. any more updates on your project?

I was thinking about a 10 foot but my space will allow for an 8 foot with a little room for equipment. So 8 it is. I have to leave for a month in July for training so I think I am going to just order the tank and start framing a wall. I just missed out on a 180 gallon sump for $200. So I think I will use my 75 unless I find another steal like that. Maybe this week I will start build a stand. I think next month I will start my thread. 375 on a budget. hehheh

375 on a budget. hehheh

I stopped counting after I paid for the tank...came in WAY below budget!

Good luck with the build.

Looking great Bart.

I love the front Bart, I sorta have a regret of not making a front access to my tank, but it still works for me. I've seen other in-walls where the access looked hokie and the lights shine thru. But the cabinet doors are a nice touch.

This pic is from 4-1, I since have addded a couple more fish and softies/LPS:
