hey Ben, seems like that is a lot of evap for that size system. Perhaps you should change the program that starts your fans? I have mine come on at 78F. With the 1000+g in the system, it can get down to 76.5F at night but that's about it. Is yours a glass tank? If so that may be why. I run about 9 to 12g per day in evap.

Yeah, it gets hot in that room in the day --> lots of fan action. I also have mine set at 78. My tank has not gotten below 78 or above 81 in the last couple weeks. On cold days I see better cooling in the room and thus less evap. The tank is 1-inch acrylic. Un-hijacking Bart's thread now, though... we can drag this over to my tank thread if desired! :)

right on Bart! I was wondering if you really had a display tank at all! Aqua-scaping looks great. Lots of room for coral colonies.

8 small african yellow belly

Finally!! Looks great!! I don't see any Damsels. How in the heck did you manage to get them all out. Am curious as to what you have in your feeding clip on the right side.

Personally, I like that you changed back to a black background on the tank. It makes everything in the tank stand out in your pictures.

You said that right Del.

Yes Bart great work and craftsmanship. A incredible no expense spared build. 2 Thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bart,

I did not catch where you got your stand from? From the reading you got it out of state. If the creator is local I may be interested in using him. Thanks for the extra pics.

How deep is the sand?

Thanks
Ron

It's only when you have fish in it that the full size of the tank can be appreciated!! It's huge!!

A beautiful tank!

i still have 6 left over, also i removed the large yellow tang and large tomini tang out last week. the yellow tang was such a big bully to all of my fishes. all i did was simply removed 3 large rocks at the top and used 2 2x4 eggcrate to split the display into 3 sections making it simple to removed the fish which took me about 45min. 3 times a week on roman lettuce and nori.
