My GF and I are arriving this Saturday for Dolphins game and plan to snorkel at Key Largo.

Any recommendations on a nice snorkeling spot? Also, looking to stop by LFS with some deals I can't find in Los Angeles.

Looking for some nice Florida Rics.
Any suggestions will be great. Thanks

Da FINS all the way from LA ya baby....shoot Nivram or DrThompson a pm they do a lot of diving and am sure they could give you some info on it.....I have a 540 you could give a try in if you strike out lol

GO FINS......

And as far as stores...bird road from SW 57 Ave to SW 87 avenue. You will find excellent choices and plenty to look at.

I would go to Pennekamp park where they have a snorkel boat or use one of the hundred or so charters in Key Largo. My favorites, Molasses/French/and Elbow Reefs.

+1 Pennekamp is nice and touristy, definitely see the huge aquariums they have. There's a couple activities there but most of it tends to be expensive. and French is nice too. Elbow is deeper but nice as well.
But, I don't recommend Pennekamp for the beach there btw...

I hope the weather gets better for you this weekend, right now it's not looking good. Also watch out for moon jellies. This is the season for them. If you are lucky you might see a school of hundreds of them lol

if your going to be in key largo for lunch time right down the road is Chads deli in tavernier, highly recommend this place. Small hole in the wall but food is A+
Also if your into nature there is a free visit bird sanctuary in tavernier as well, robbies marine in islamorada where you feed the tarpon on the dock about a 30 min drive south from key largo

I am constantly down in the keys, plenty of things to do!

I stay in Tavernier right across the street from Chads it's the best try the potato cakes!

Can't go wrong with any of the reefs mentioned Pennekamp is cool to see if it's your first time. My personal favorite has always been Molasses. Alligator light and Sombrero are also nice however they're not exactly Key Largo

Did you go snorkeling today?

Yes we did. We decided on Pennekamp and weather wasn't that bad. Little windy in the morning but died down.

You guys are very lucky to live in a beautiful city. My first time here and I'm in love with Florida. I need to plans a week long vacation in the future.

Thank you all for the great recommendations. Now, i can't wait until tomorrow. Let's go Phins!!!!!!

Glad it went well even though it was windy! First time and you are a Dolfan?? Haha nice! You will enjoy the game. Tailgating is great either way, if you go lol

If you are looking to stay for a week, we have a vacation rental that has plenty of amenities. Feel free to Let me know if you are ever interested.

P.s. Great game by the CANES! Now let's go PHINS!!!

Sorry they sucked it up so bad .....very poor coaching and play calling

I agree!! What was up with that conservative play call when it was 3rd and long, we went with a run? Ryan was on a good roll in the second half. Have confidence in him to at least give us a chance to take off more time on the clock... Anyways, still an exciting game.

Fire this wanna be high school football coach and be done with it already.....from not taking a given 3pts in the first half 4th and goal when you had trouble all half moving the ball ...your your going to run the ball twice up the middle and try 2 passes over the middle on a stacked 8 man in the box crowded 10 yards to work in duh it didn't work....to wasting time outs in the second half to even calling time outs for Arron Rogers after a 3rd down sack and time is ticking away on a 4th and 10....here lets not look like we have a clue and be prepared to bring the heat again...lets call a time out for them and let them get the play they want and all the correct personal out on the field to execute it....for the love of god can we just just be prepared once just fing once ....then to let them virtually beat us with our own play our beloved Marino makes famous ....just crap for brains coaching...this guy has stayed 2.5 years too long .....
