Ok so I was asked to organize a group buy for Fish and Live Rock, (fish meaning anything that is alive really).

Ok so give me a list of anything your looking for to buy, however the Live Rock is going to be Fiji as thats what the deal currently is, I'm sure I can organize different kinds if some are interested but lets focus on this for now.

Now other fish are something we can do as well these are just sample prices for various fish types.

The best would be to find a few fish types many of us want here, or from other local club friends ect.

Once we get a solid "wish list" I'll see what the deal we can get for them is.

As for live rock its pretty simple and shown above. I'll probably need to organize a pick up time we might even do it around a club meeting or something and make sure we have a scale handy.

what would the price be on lyre tail anthais? I am looking for around 5 of them.

Basically most of the west coast USA mported fish come through one of 3 distributors from LA and theres a smaller one here.

It's the same distributor for everyone like LiveAquaria ect. Plus many of the smaller stores are owned by the larger with just a smaller store format.

They do get farmed fish as most distributors do for fish that are farmed a major farm is in Florida, Fosters and Smith has a frag farm in Wisconsin I believe, and the list goes on, however majority of fish are still wild caught, simply because aquarists haven't been hugely successful with breeding in capitivity on a large number of the species.

I'll get a price on lyretails rulesmith and when I checked friday they did have McCoskers in.

And the 50lbs I'll add on the list.
