Fish ID needed

NOTE TO MOD: If I have posted this in the wrong forum, would you be kind enough to send it in the right direction?

Last summer, my son caught a jellyfish off of our dock. Inside of the jelly's tentacles, were a number of marine fish. Before releasing the jelly and his hitch hikers, my son snapped a few pics. We have since then made attempts to identify some of the fish. We haven't had much luck yet, so I thought that I would post one of the pics here to see if anyone might be familiar with this fish. Please forgive the clarity of the image. It's the only one that we have. The jelly was pulled from the Gulf waters of Southwest Florida. Thank you.

Looks like a juvenile butterfish to me, they commonly use different species of jellyfish as hosts when they are small.

Thank you for your reply philter. I googled "butterfish", and it does exist. However, the images did not look anything like the little guy in the picture. Lots of nice pictures of fish filets cooked in butter! Very mouth watering! I did google 'Butterfly fish', and there could be a connection there. You could be right about it being a juvenile.

Butterfish is a common food fish over much of the world, what you are looking at is a juvenile which is a common jellyfish companion. Here is a link to a photo of one of the many different butterfish juveniles and a jellyfish on the Arkive animal website:

Thanks for the link to the butterfish. I had googled them, but did neglect to mention that those were in the jellyfish too.
