Fish that don't jump

It's interesting. I saw a great presentation recently by 'Evolved' on wrasses. He showed a video that shows how wrasses mate by rapidly swimming up and down in the water column and indicated that for wrasses, escape generally means go up. Since our tanks are nowhere near as deep as the ocean, they simply run out of room and end up carpet surfing. I'll be the same is true for sand dwellers that need to go up to escape.

All of the above is not really answering the original question. I would also like to see a list of those that are more likely to jump out. In researching several species, some of them say they must have a tight fitting lid or they will jump out. I know all fish have the ability to jump, but many probably won't unless frightened.

Which ones will more than likely jump out if there is no lid?

Actually they do answer the question. Poster asked for a list of fish that might jump. OP got the answer.... All fish may jump. A lid is a necessity!
PS... Can't go wrong with artfully acrylic lids. I have one and the only complaint I have is that it was pricey and I can't even see it on the tank!!!!!

Switching from a glass lid to the BRS screen top kit was a simple solution that helped me address issues with pH and temperature. Easy checkbox in the hell yeah, I'd do it again column.
