Fishing

I went fishing for the first time in perhaps 40 years, when I went with my stepson on his class trip to Captree State Park.

What a gorgeous day it was... Picture 13 buses; Seven chartered boats; 183 parents/chaperone's, and who catches the biggest fish (at least on our boat)?

CHRIS (my stepson)!!

Many pictures were taken of the reluctant angler and his prize flounder (though we couldn't keep it). I'm hoping someone will send us a copy to post here.

Oh, modesty almost prevented me from posting this... but, I should mention that of the first six fish that were caught on the trip, I got FIVE of them ;)

And, there were about 50 people on our boat.

I was also out at Captree today. I was on the Capt. Bob O fishing for Stripers with clam bellies. I caught the first one but we didn't have a keeper on the whole boat. What a beautiful day to be out on the water.

no keepers?!? did you guys go out of the inlet? or just stay in the bay near the bridge(half day) also would love to see some pictures

i saw out at 1am sun morning till about 1pm that same day on my uncles boat. we went for stripers but didnt get any. we ended up with a bunch of sea bass but no keepers

The water is still too warm for stripers. Give it 2-3 more weeks for the monsters to return from the cooler ocean.

That's what I'm hearing. My buddy was just itching to get out and do some fishing. We were all too busy this summer. We have two more trips planned for this fall. Hopefully with better results.

Nice score! Too bad nothing for the dinner plate though. So far this year ive had the pleasure of fixing my buddies boat but never made it out on it yet LOL Go figure!
