Flame Angels

I love the flame angel. I don't know about them loving to swim a lot. But they do graze a lot. So if you don't have a lot of rock then I could see them swimming around more trying to find more grazing grounds.

Personally I wouldn't go under 55g with a LOT of rock work. 75g better and anything over best.

The reef safe thing is a hit or miss I have a flame angle and he hasn't touched my frogspawn (only coral in tank as of right now) he pecks a lot but I was told and read a lot that they like sps and softies but leave lps corals alone and all the corals I really want are LPS do I am good I think haha

As for size had a happy flame angel in a 75 gallon and I really think personally if your get your corals and whatever tank size you want over 20 gallons and put a small flame angel in last it will be just fine

IMO, a flame angel is a 'must have fish'...have always had a least one in my tanks since 1973... Presently have 4 in my 450g, and may add more when I upgrade to a 6'x6' 600g.
Never had a problem with them and corals...but I don't have zoas.

I honestly believe if they are the dominant fish in the tank, they can be real jerks for as aggression.
