Hi,

I remember some time ago there was someone on URS that purchased this Flame Bubble Tip Anemone from Reef Hot Spot, was wondering was it anything like the picture? Would like to get your thoughts on it,

Does anyone have one?
Does anyone have one for sale (would rather pruchase it locally)?
Any real pictures of it?

Thanks,
-Lang

Kase, did u get urs from the same place, reef hot spot?
Your anenome looks incredibly healthy, do you have any advice for us as how to acklamate(sp) and care for it?

Thanks for the pic!

No i did not get mines from RHS. I got mines from another fellow reefer on another site that collects anemone. I drip acclimate my anemone and to keep it healthy you should feed it some meaty food 2-3 times a week. I feed my anemone everyday. I love that thing. Here is a close up of the anemone. Sorry don't mean to steal your thread just wanted to share some pictures.

I did a search of RC and found your pics to be the most vivid, if you have more please continue to share!
Seeing these beautiful anemone pictures makes my wife hasty purchase more palatable :D

I purchased the Flame Tip from RHS back in January. I have a few pictures of it on my home computer. It split 3 weeks after I purchased it, and still hasn't recovered. Both splits are still alive, but have lost coloring and their tentacles. One has started to make a come back, and the other one is still questionable. It looked very similar to Kase's when I first received it from RHS.

yup, after showing my wife your thread she was hooked on these flame tip anemone :D

Would you please post some pic, before and after, of your anemome once you get a chance, that would be great!

Do you have any advice for us, we have never purchases anything live over the internet so not sure what to expect, how long to acclimate? light acclimate as well? thanks for any advice

Isn't there a way to frag Anemones from the base? Random thought I know.lol
I think there was a thread posted here on URS that some guy had cut his anemome up like a pizza, looks pretty kewl but I wouldnt dare it, at least not yet :D

IME BTAs are pretty easy to coerce into naturally splitting. Give them enough light and flow, and stuff them with food until they're big, then stop feeding. They'll almost always crawl off into a hole and split. I've had BTAs that would split every few months with this approach. Sometimes you'd get three or four daughters instead of two.
