flat worm exit

So I nuked my tank this morning for flat worms. I couldn't beleive how many their were (hundreds). So I followed the directions added GAC when I saw them start to die and then I waited for like an hour before siphoning them out and then I did a 35 gallon water change. So I was just looking at the tank to check on everything and saw a brisle worm around 6 in. or so. Question do they release toxins if they die. This one is lookin like it's on it's way out.

I don't think bristle worms release toxins. Didn't know FWE affected them either; i thought it was limited in its lethlity to acoela. If it's that big and out in the day time it could do damage if not as a carnivore then by irritating corals with its bristles as it climbs around them. Personally if I could get at it I'd tweeze it out.

Well, it's probably good it's dead sorry to say. I've used fwe in the past on several occasions and never saw any dead bristle worms. Maybe the bristle worm died from the flat t worms' toxins

Are you running fresh carbon? I would if I were you, flatworms can and have nuked entire systems in the past.

Here's the critter, was twice the size yesterday....
