Flatworm Eating Velvet Slugs

I brought a few to a friends tank a few weeks ago. Upon release they started devouring the aceol flatworms with gusto :D

There is no real toxin in them, so no, no real need to watch out for them :D

i heard they may starve once all the flatworms are gone, which would suck =( so watch out for that.

I just bought 2 yesterday and put them in the tank. Thus far, they have not eaten one flatworm while I was watching them for a good 30 minutes. I have flatworms on my Wellsophyllia and Scolymias but they do not seem to want to climb on the corals or go on the rocks, just over the substrate and climb on the glass.

I did notice their cool "vacuum" mouths but have yet to see them go to work :(

I keep getting flatworms in my tank too... even after flatworm exit. Maybe I'll get one of these guys too, and then pass them around =P

Did you get them locally, or order them? I'm battling flatworms now too - two doses of FWE, and they still don't all seem to be dead.

I got them locally but they don't seem to work too well.

I've seen one of them eat a flatworm but that's only if it actually came across the flatworm, the slug doesn't seem like it knows how to "hunt" or seek out the flatworms.
