Floating Sand

My tank is 5 yrs old. I did a maintenance water change and siphon some sand to clean off the red slime algae.... Now there's sand all over my live rock... The sand was not there when I finished the water change. It appeared Monday morning. No new power heads just the original pump that came with bio cube 29

What exactly do you have in your tank besides corals? Other than being unsightly, sand on the rocks is not really a problem. If you want to remove it just fan it off with your hand.

Only thing I have besides two clowns is a star fish...
