I have a bowfront corner 52, and did have a plain outflow from the corner of the wedge with two flat nozzles that I used to use a chopstick to direct, oh, when I'd think of it.
I yesterday replaced that arrangement with a sea swirl, and certain corals are already showing improvement from the cycling flow:
1. the plate---the bottomless plate that grabs anything it can stuff in---overnight went from a flat ribbed disk with blown-flat-over tentacles to an inflated disk with fat little tentacles even on the rim.
2. Frogspawn and hammer: tossing about and showing, in the case of the frogspawn, its offshoots, which haven't seen the light in weeks.
3. Bubble: more relaxed and improved color (don't ask me why: it was browning just a shade, and now is a pure, clear green) and in constant motion.
4. caulestra, no significant change, but that's a pretty stable coral, for good or for ill. It's always happy.
5. the crocea clam: more relaxed, more even in deployment.
6. the fish: are confused, and don't know which way to face. I think this will be a mental improvement.
It's not huge, but I think it's good.
