Flow for 60G cube

Hello,
how do you guys recommend flow for a 60G Cube tank ?
2x2x2 with overflow at centre back [Perfecto Stock Cube tank]

it will be fully NPS tank, so need alot of flow [SPS like flow] and very random to keep food suspended and feed the polyps.

I do have a 6095 right now which Im not using, but not sure if I should go with 2 of those, or anything bigger ?

TIA

I think a single 6095 would work, if you used 2 I would alternate them. That is the pump model I would suggest.

thank you, I have one of those larger old controllers, will try to make a wave with both of them, thank you.

ok so I have 2x6095, connected to a 7095 controller [the large old ones]

how do I make a wave in a 60 G ?

they will be on back wall, should I put them towards the top or bottom ?
what mode on controller would work the best ? for wave that is.

appreciate any help. I was gonna get a wave box, but thought 2x6095 would provide a stronger wave ? wrong thinking ?
thanks

The 7095 cannot produce a true wave. Only the 7092 and 7096 can do this. A wave requires precise timing in the range of .30-.40 seconds for a tank of this size.

The wave will be about the same, the main drawback will be it will take twice as much electricity as a Nano or Comline Wavebox as this adds the displacement to produce a bigger wave.

I see, yea that's what I figured, the pulse was too long ...

the USB controller doesnt work with mac right ? is there a knob on it to change anything ? or do I need a windows computer everytime I want to change anything ?

the tank has 4" of fine sand, that's why I want a wave, cause I think that would move the sand the least ... any opinion ? maybe I should switch one for a wave box and use other for flow lower down .. or a laminar flow around the tank ...

sorry just thinking loud lol hoping you would have some sugestions I havent thuoght of :)

The 7096 has been mac compatible for about 2 years. It is difficult to switch back and forth from mac to PC though so you will need to decide on the format you want to use in advance. The software is included for both.

In general wave flow just creates some dunes, but placement and programming for other modes should be possible even with fine sand and I generally would not want wave flow to be my only flow, it is great combined with a directional current but with the exception of some filter feeding set ups, gorgs, anemones, wave flow alone is generally less than ideal.
