Fluorescent stomatopod pic

The species is Gonodactylus platysoma collected and photographed on Lizard Island, Great Barrier Reef. The animal was illuminated with a blue light (470 nm) and photographed through a strong yellow filter which filters out all of the blue light. Only fluorescent emissions are recorded. The red is a green algae and some coralline algae
 
Wow! That's an amazing pic Roy and Kalim. Thanks for posting that. I keep regretting not picking up the G. Platysoma that I saw at an Alameda LFS. :(
