Foxface being stung by Green Carpet Anemone

Hello Friends,
Two days ago I bought my lonely maroon clown a new anemone (his long tentacle died a month or so ago). This new anemone had me really excited, being that is a green carpet that I have always wanted. He is firmly attached to a rock and looking great.
Last night I got home from work at 1am and saw that my foxface rabbitfish was still awake and swimming around sporatically. I looked closer and saw a gash on his side where his scales appeared to be torn.
Watching him further I saw him repeatedly swim too close to the carpet and brush it with a fin or bump it with his face or side. When he'd do this the foxface would react instantly to the sting and twist and swim away quickly. I thought he would learn his lesson but didn't. Minutes or even seconds later, he would return to the vicinity and repeat the process. It was hard to watch. I spent the next half hour tearing up my rock work and installing a temporary tank divider to protect him from himself.
I really love both specimens. Is there any solution to my problem or is the Foxface doomed to be done in by the carpet anemone?

It's just a matter of time before it's eaten (assuming your carpet is a haddoni), especially since it doesn't seem to be the brightest fish.

How do I know if my carpet is Hadoni? Is this something I can ask the retailer? And no, this foxface is widely known as the dumbest fish I've ever owned.

Haddonis have very short bulbous tentacles. Giganteas have purple/blue verrucae on the underside, and longer, pointier tips when healthy.
