Foxface near the end or give him time ?

I've had this Foxface for around 5 years. Today he's moving slow and not eating. Ate yesterday fine.

Now he hides in back rocks. Comes out rarely and won't eat. I'm not ready to euthanize yet.

Yes all parameters are good and rest of tank is thriving.

Any thoughts ?

You might assume perhaps a bacterial infection and give him a try with a broad spectrum antibiotic, covers both gram negative and gram positive bacteria.

They are very flighty at the best of times, mine has days where he will sulk and other times where he will feed from my hand.
I agree that it could be parasites/worms or bacterial always worth treating ever now and again with something reef safe.

5 years isnt that old for a foxface.
