Sometimes my magnificent fox face sheds its slime coat! Perfectly healthy fish along with the rest of the community. She's feed the proper diet and maintained in excellent water conditions. I was told that's common for that species of fish. Has anyone experienced this or have any info??

Fox face and the rest of the rabbit fish family will shed off a piece of skin around the mouth area from time to time. Is this what you are talking about? If so then it is normal.

Yea, mine does that too once in a while. I read it's normal.

Quite normal. It's also quite normal to freak out the first time you see that happen

Mine eats it after it sheds it off. It usually happens when he gets excited over food.
