Frag Swap - Chattanooga, TN - 8-5-06

Hello all, I don't know if you guys & gals remember me but I was at the last swap, at least I think it was. I find it funny that you guys were talking about free trade because in 2 weeks I will become one of the many who have lost their job to china, after 15 years. Enough about that what I would like to know is would I be welcome to come this year. Last year I went with a club but I don't know if they are going this time around.
I would also like to know how I could presale stuff (this thread or another) Do to my soon to be life style change I think I will probably sale off most of my sps's (not frags the whole colonies) most of them I have had for years. I will need to get with my wife, but I think I'm going to back to a lps/ softie tank for the next few years. (going back to school, complements of china) But I don't want to pack up a bunch of colonies just to bring them back home. I'm sure everyone will want to know what I have plus pics , but before I go thru that I will have to talk to the better half.

Just PM me if you want to setup a table....of course if you don't know in advance there will always be extra space for those who decide to sell at the last minute.

On the SPS Colonies.... I'm very intersted in whole colonies do you have any pictures? I'll PM you.

JAANDGC,

Put me in line for the blue with reddish prostrata if it is still hanging around. I finally lost the encrustation after my engineer goby decided not to be so civil... Can't wait to see what all you have:).

Hi Jaandc, we would welcome you to the swap!! I remember your generosity towards me with the frags, definitely.

What I would suggest is to post them into a photobucket account and post a link in here or in another thread about them. That way you wouldn't post like 800 pictures (I know you have a lot of really nice sps) but you could provide a link for people so they could browse through an "album."

Ok I am so stoked here is a pic of just one of the colonies that will be fragged in the zoa demonstration.

Hmmm, I think it was like $5 at the last frag swap in Chattanooga and we gave them each a frag. It worked out well and I think it brought us more money than anything else, and people seemed to walk away really happy.

We fragged a really large spaghetti leather and huge chunk of a yellow and green mille, then offered one or the other to people (whichever one they wanted). Zoas are a great idea though!

Yea we will have two colonies. One is similar to this but has green tones. You'll probably want both for sure. They are both coming from www.purecaptive.com

Hands down the owner Bryan is the nicest guy to deal with. He has basically donated these to the club. These fetch a good price on ebay, and they are getting very popular. Carib zoas that is.

We have went back and forth on either 5 or 10...

Need to cover the costs at a minimum, but it won't be more than 10.

frag swap

ok, this is gonna be my first time going to the frag swap. I plan on bringing me back some "good stuff". Any suggestions/advice before I head down there?

Come and have a good time...

Bring a cooler to keep the corals from getting hot on the ride home.

Oh and for the people that are like myself.... I don't think anyone is going to have debit card machines.. HEHE Its sad I use my debit card for 99 cent cokes, yep I'm that guy.

Hope to see you there.

Save money... You will be floored by what all is there, so bring plenty. It's like going to a casino. Bring money to cover the fun, but set a limit. I have a problem with the last part...
