frag tank plumbed to display?

i have a 210 inwall set up with a 180 gallon sump and a 75 gallon fuge... i was thinking about taking the fuge set up and putting egg crate half way in the 75 (cheato would be under the egg crate) and using the top of the egg crate as the frag section....


what do you think about this?

currently i have a 75 gallon on its own system that i am using for the frag tank...if i make the current fuge into the fuge/frag tank i could use the old 75 gallon frag tank as a Qnteen tank.....

I would guess you'll have deritis setting in the bottom of the fuge. As well, you would have to move the frags/eggcrate every time you wanted to clean out or thin the algae.

That being said, if working around that situation works for you, go for it! Depending on your sump setup, it might be easier to create a frag section in there.
