fragged my first RIC

it was doing great and i noticed it grew another mouth so i was like might as cut it and half and make 2. for my first frag, not bad but i didnt to good of a job. they both seem to be doing okay and both have full mouths but one did get chopped up a little. i put them real high up so they both have a lot of light. is it normal for like stringy uze to come out when you split them?

You have had two threads that I personally as well as iFisch
have been trying to help you get you tank up and going. I said in the prior thread when you asked about fragging to "NOT TO FRAG A RIC" as your first shroom Purchase a cheap shroom and frag it and see how you do first secondly with your tank so far out of wack that nothing is doing well to begin with you just stressed the poor thing even more and prob killed it.

The white strings (Shroom Guts) are not good however when fragging rics and shrooms inproperly it happens that is why you needed to practice on on stronger common shrooms as they will give mercy. You need to place the ric on medium light and a light current to help with slime build up.

Also post a picture from what i saw in your last picture it wasn't to happy and still young so i can only imagine what it looks like now.

they both look fine to me now. i put them both in a good flow spot. it was a free ric, not the pink one i showed earlier.

LOL my pink ric and my 2 new frags of a brown ric just dissapeared... i really cant find them anywhere in my tank and i only have a 30gal

How close were the fresh cut frags to the fancy Ric ???
I also said "LIGHT" flow spot not a good one you wounded the foot baldy on the one and it will not handle the current as easly as when it was whole thus letting go into the abyss.
They prob melted which will take a matter of hours and not trace of the shroom will remain. Which is why I told you what I told you. keep an eye ball out for the fancy one hopfully it just let go amd moved but it's doubtful

found them all stuffed in my pistol shrimps burrow. all look fine now. when i say good flow i didnt mean a lot, just a good spot for it to be. all three look great now. they frags are a couple inches away from the pink ric now.

Did you use a fresh razor blade. One quick clean slice is all thats needed. There should be no shredding or multiple cuts.

both fully recovered and have the mouth now in the middle and you cant even tell i cut it, they just look smaller. guess i did a better job than i thought.
