***Fragged my Heteractis Magnifica***

They look good.I would think it would take longer for them to heal than an BTA.I would start feeding when I see the mouth all the way in the center of the anemone.

Tough crowd, lol. Here's a pic as of this afternoon. Nem #1 was hard to get a decent pic since its stuck on the side of the cage. Nem #2 is forming its mouth nicely. Doesn't look ready yet but close.

Not tough....just greedy!

Looks great. I;m insanely jealous with your success here. I've kept my Magnifica for over 4 years now, but I'm not considering fragging it just yet.

Are these maroon based like in AD87's avatar?

Nick

LOL, so far, so good. I thought he was crazy when he did it. I'm just glad it didn't nuke my system. These have a purple base.

No its gutter guard, the screening is to prevent clownfish from entering in the anemone and from the anemone from wandering around the tank.

What did you make an upside down basket to put over the anenome
with the gutterguard yes??????

Why do you not want the clown to go into the anenome?

Thanks for your responses.

Much appreciated.

Tim

p.s. did you see the video of my new magnifica I posted? How do you
like him? haha

Your nem looks nice. Personally I think it might be getting too much flow and not high enough in the tank.

Yes I cut those anemones so I had to make sure that they stayed put, that is why I have gutter guard surrounding the anemone. I also wanted to keep clowns out. I think a newly acquired anemone such as a mag should not have any clowns bothering it. Especially in my case since I cut them in half. I have had newly acquired anemones gets bothered by clowns. I would watch the clowns nip at the mouth of the anemone and burry there head in the mouth when it was slightly open causing more irritation for the nem.

hope that helps.

Sweet!!!!

Sweet!!!!

For starters this is AMAZING! When the time comes that you are selling these, I would definitely like to be a customer. I didn't think that Mags could be fragged ( I actually read on here that they don't multiply through division?) Anyway, it's awesome. Keep up the good work and when you have some your looking to sell please keep me posted, I'm very interested.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris get in line, lol.

Im def not ready to part with any of the nems. At least anytime soon. Thank for the compliments. :)

Tony (AD87) came over yesterday and fed the daughter nems. We moved one into one of my displays. She's a beaut! This one is almost the size of the original 6 months ago.
