fragging carpet nem

Any ideas on how to frag a carpet nem? I know how to do it with a BTA. I was thinking same proceedure?

I have had mine for over a year and it has gotten to be about 15". He has claimed the lives of 2 jawfish and some sand sifting gobies.

I was thinking of fragging him, letting him heal and selling one to the FS or on here.

Sounds like you have S. haddoni.

Not likely a good experiment for a display tank, slime factor, fish kill, etc.

If you have it established in an Anemone only and Clown environment, your chances of success would likely increase.

Anemone would need to be removed, divided, allowed to slime(expect an hour minimum and water changes at this stage), rinsed in tank water, placed back in a tank area with enough flow to slough off slime, and then keep up with water quality.

Significant effort, high potential risk, slim potential reward of two healthy anemones. If the anemone was S. tapetum, the risk would be greatly reduced, but your description removes that possibility.

For most folks, not a good plan because they lack the dedicated environment for success.

Best of luck, sounds like you have a healthy and happy specimen. Congrats.
