Frankie's 120 gal. reef.

Thanks guys! I am really digging the open space. I don't think i will ever pack a tank like that again.
Yeah Bax he could actually if i didn't have 3 others in there ;) I am not one to give up fish easy either. I rather build a bigger tank. Not to sure when that is going to be just yet but i am building my next project for it. A new ca++ reactor. I'll post pictures when i am done with it. I also plan on finishing this tank. I designed it for a sure tank and would like to see that in action.
Thanks SaltwaterGuy. That is my boy. Here is a better picture of him.

His coat absolutely SHINES!

Beautiful!

It will be really interesting to watch a surge system being built. I'm very much confused about their operation, especially when it comes to topping off water and knowing how much to top off.

I am working on upgrading my 120 to a 220 so I can have an ABT, among some other favorites

Great pictures, love the look down pictures. The dog is pretty funny. My dog lays down weird as well. Sometimes they think their humans.

Thanks Terry. Actually were having trouble with his skin atm. He is allergic to something and it is making him break out. I have him on a venison diet right now for 120 days and then i will be adding certain foods to it until he breaks out again. Then I will know what it is he is allergic to.
Bax, I have been doing this a long time but man ABT abbreviation is slipping my mind!

Bax...yours looks awesome too Im adding you too the buddy list

frankie - awesome job too

I wish all 120 owners had a place to compare notes to

dkirchoff

There are some great 120s posting here on RC right now.

If you live in north NJ & are a GIANTS fan you a closed enough for a visit to the tank itself.

Of course, you can drop the thread any time too :)

Thank you dkirchoff! Bax's tank is incredible actually. Could you post a link to your tank? I would really like to see it.
Thanks for stopping in reeftanks! All is well. I am working on a new ca++ reactor right now. Double chamber. Johnathan provided me with some great links and i am moding them to my own design.

I will keep both of you guys posted!

Hey Frankie! Did you get that monster skimmer attached to your 120 and have it working?

I don't remember reading about it anywhere. :)

Not yet Terry. I am ordering the pump this week! I was going to build a smaller one for the 120 but decided to build a reactor instead. :)
Keep us posted dkirchoff! That's a nice list you have there. 8x54 watt T5's should do you just right!

Hey, Frankie! Tank looks just BEEYOOTIFUL! Dog does too! I'm just doin' a drive by to say hellllooooo!

Hello Barb! :) RC is growing on you i see....
It was a blue carpet. It lasted about two weeks. One reason why you should never use the lfs. I ordered a blue Stichodactyla haddoni and they got me a Stichodactyla gigantea. One of the hardest carpets to keep alive. I took it because it was in great health. Two weeks later over night the thing went south and i tossed it before it could pollute my tank. Live and learn. I am still on the look out for one. I would get a bubble but they move around to much. My closed loop is a magnet for anemones. Carpets tend to stay on the sand.

What do you use for screens over the intakes for your CL?

I had briefly thought about getting a carpet but they can and do eat fish. They are spectacular animals though.

LOL, I don't have room for that monster Victor. Plus i want to keep my arm!
I tried the ones you have Terry. When an anemone blankets an intake though nothing will stop the inevitable. they just don't have the muscle to pull free. A carpet is my best bet.
