i need to get 100 so i can have an avatar

Me too. lol

A 300 you say Terry? Is that all.

I figure a 120 is about max for my apartment. I don't own the building so I can't do all that cool DIY stuff. Plus I don't have a garage to DIY in.
Sooo many obstructions.

Come on Victor, I'm sure you could squeeze in a 125. That six feet of room would give you lots of room. Your tank is starting to get pretty crowded. And not from just the sebae, you have a lot of corals too.

Oh man, I wish i had a picture of my oscar breeding setup back in 1986. I was renting a room from some lady in her house. Going to school during the day and breeding oscars at night. I was 16. The room had to be about 20'x16' give or take. I had four 55 gallon tanks in there, a pacman arcade (the game room size!) my bed, small fridge, packed book shelf (always a reader) my cat and small B&W TV. :)

It was a twin. :)
Maybe one day they will invent the mind reading machine and we can all have pictures to share.

LOL Nice visual!

O.k. 125 max.
It's not room for the tank thats limiting my choice of upgrade, it's upkeep, water storage, water production, water mixing.

FFrankie...I tell ya I went down the same road with oscars years back...and they did breed and i made the mistake of taking them out after the eggs began forming to protect the fry...big mistake....next thing I know mesquito larvae took over the fry and I was actually feeding the dam things...sad to hear about the blue carpet though :sad1:

It's going well. thanks for asking! My Reefflo Marlin pump arrives on Monday so i will be able to finally hook up the skimmer. I built a calcium reactor also. Here are some pictures.

I need to change out the bubble counter flow. I have it backwards and the water fights the bubbles coming from the bottom. Al i need to do is reverse the inner tube. NBD.

Nice work on the reactor. the hose clamps are kind of scary though!

BTW, when you post photobucket pics you can just paste them into the message without using the iamge function. Those copied urls have the image code already added. That's why you see an extra set around your pics.

Actually i am hard plumbing the pump. It leaked on me the first day.
Thanks for the tip on the pictures Johnathan!
It is a copy of the Barr. I am not to sure how they plumb theres though. there is no thread out there on the build of one.
Dam Booze! That thing is ridiculous! Looks cool but really whats so great about it? My old reactor kept my tank perfect before and that was just a copy of a Korallin Calcium Reactor. I built my own because the one i had was leaking and i hated all the crap sitting on top like that.
When i buy the 300 i will make a multi media box like Johnathan's. That thing is pretty cool.

for most large tank owners, it is not such an issue, but mine can be down-sized to get 3 or 4 reactors into one small footprint. Oh, and it can be driven off a manifold so not much additional electrical cost. Much less than individual reactors for sure.
