Free Horseshoe Crab

I have a small horseshoe crab (less than four inches or so) that is free to a good home.

He really keeps my sand bed clean and I'm sure going to miss him, but I'm afraid that my 120 may not have enough food for him.

He's super cute and the chicks love him! Just don't ask them if they want to come over and catch it. ;)

I can only get to him when he's out so, if you let me know you'd like him I can catch him and hold him for you to pick up. I'm located in Clintonville and available most evenings/nights.

Thanks,
Jason

too bad you are so far away, there is room in the touch tank for a few. I usually restock that tank in the fall. Urchins ate the last batch (very weird)

they are very cute when they are little, ugly as mud as an adult though but the kids still love them and they are sand bed digging machines

I just can't drive two hours though

Man my son would love to see one of those in our aquarium but I only have a 110 and probably in no better shape to provide him with food than you are. Good luck finding him a new home!

Briney,
Hmm....I used to date a gal from Fremont... I don't think I'll be heading up that way any time soon but if I have him still and I do make the trip, I'll keep it in mind.

Jakno,
You could always take him for a bit and then try to find him a home in a month ;)

i have had a few horseshoe crabs.. I had great luck with feeding them wardleys sinking shrimp pellets. when you see it out just rop a few in your tank for him to find and eat. Along with that your clean up crew will love them to..

Good Luck..

I'll give it a go, but my cleaner shrimp usually run around hoarding all the food that falls to the bottom. Their pigs. Maybe it will work. :)

Thanks!
