THATS BEAUTIFUL!! that tank is going to be insane once the seven each split! and I thought my bta was taking over my tank :D

I just recently put the racoon in the tank to see if it would help eraticate the aiptasia, it will eat them but it is on the bottom of its menu, it seems that he preffer my clams, mushrooms, and everything else better. I removed him last night and placed him in my 70g fuge. If you mess with my clams , you mess with me, hes gone ;)

tank is 225g w/ 070g fuge, 110gsump, 50g surge.
Lights= 3 x 250 10,000k MH & 2x 160 VHO (1 actinic, 1 super actinic)
Here is a blog about this tank that I documented when I was building it. I am about to move this into my garage (to create an in-wall), so Im going through the whole thing all over again.

CBB is much better in term of not bother clams and coral. They really love Aptasia also. It is a little harder for feed CBB then a Racoon. I feed the CBB frozen clams, one everyday. A frozen clam slightly open once it is in the tank, just enough to let the CBB get it share before the rest of the fish gobble up everything later that afternoon when the clam open up more

What is the mechanism of your surge tank? Is it noisy or put out much bubble?.

Man thats my dream alond with a lot of zoo's but i cant get anemone to last more than 2 weeks I think i need to find a tank raised one.

CBB - I have thousands of aiptasia, the CBB is my next choice, Im going to have to give it a try. The CBB will eat frozen clams, but not live clams?

The surge tank is a DIY "Carlson Surge Device" (Works off siphon) .It spits out a few bubbles in the begining , and the end of each surge, which I like. It is incased in a cabinet, so you really cant hear it. they can sometimes sound like a toilet flushing, just depends on how you build it.

Begining of surge:
