From cube to super shallow circle

I haven't finished watching the videos yet. First video, as soon as you got close to the blue beauty I passed out. Good grief that is gorgeous. :spin1:
It has been a few months and had flow off today so I took a few shots. Hope you don't pass out again! Everything is looking pretty good and growing well I think:hmm2: I have chopped out some corals and added some new starter frags and will also plumb my new tank into this system after reefapalooza . Unless someone offers me some crazy money for it:fun5:

Are you running a 400 watt Radium? What how many and waht dioide LEDS are you running?

One 400 watt 10k reeflux 48 3watt leds 24 royal blue and 24 blue

That is a ton of light. Does that give you a 14k look?

Maybe 12k !! It's very bright and true too what it looks like if snorkeling on a shallow reef. When I set up the new tank I will run mostly blue light so I can get some better colors in the corals that don't look so great under the 10k. I like the 10k because the blues look there best the corals grow faster and it looks natural to me.

Great pics buddy,i can see some amazing colors in there but that blue beauty in the middle is still my favorite!:)

Thanks Mike ! Still my favorite also but I do have some frags that will be contenders. Fruity pebbles

That tort is insane. So unique looking. The PM ain't too shabby either ;)
I have been running a 12k reeflux for a little while but the bulb looks more yellow. Even with 2 blue reefbrites and blue t5's I'm getting an overall 10k look. I dunno :-/

Richard I want to go back with the 12k but the OT looks best under this lamp and I changed to a icecap ballast last month. One thing I will need to do is get a bigger skimmer because this little tunze skimmer is not getting the job done. I saw your BK and was drooling over my galaxy note pro.

You seem to have the nutrient level and lighting balanced regardless of the skimmer. If you ever want to trade used bulbs lmk. This 12k reeflux that I'm running has less than a month of use on it. I would trade for a 10k reeflux with any useable amount of life left. I really just want to see how it fires on lumatek ballast that I'm running.

I just wanted to post in here and say thanks for sharing your beautiful tank! The pics and videos show how amazing it is. Too bad I’m no longer in Tallahassee anymore.

It still amazes me how Tallahassee is a secret cove of amazing tanks, beautiful corals, and passionate aquarium hobbyists. I started a 24g cube, my first tank, there under Scott’s guidance. I got to see some of the fantastic tanks in the area, including Dave’s (who was recently TOTM on RC!), and it started my passion that I continue to this day, through my own 29g cube.

Your tank(s) just continue the mystique of amazing tanks in Tallahassee, and again thanks so much for posting and sharing them and your experience online! If you’re ever looking to sell a frag pack, drop me a line :) (though if you overnight, I may ask you to toss in some local BBQ as well :p )

Subscribed and can't wait to watch the progress on this amazing system!

Glad you like and changes are coming soon:bigeyes: There are very few sps tanks here in tally and seeing Daves tank by the front door in 2002 was a life changing moment for me. I was a 3 times a week golfer with a 6 handicap and that all changed when I found my real passion called small polyped stoneys. The first purchase I made in this hobby and one that helped me the most was buying.

I will see what I can do about a frag pack and some BBQ.

Yea, seeing how crazy Scott got over SPS, and then seeing Dave's tank by the door like you said, that crazy 2x400 radium with the 10K XM in the middle, man I fell in love. That was when he had the crazy bryopsis too. I have pics (if he ever asked for some old pics) from when I visited because I knew it would blow me away.

How do you like that AI Hydra 26? I'm looking at upgrading my Ecoxotic LEDs that came with my tank, and I'm curious to see how you like them, since they'll be in the same system as your stunning main display corals. Anyway, thanks again for posting!

Sorry, was typing in a hurry and now realize that may not have made sense...

I'm looking at upgrading my 3x Ecoxotic panorama pro lights that came with my cube from the previous owner, to a Hydra 26, and was wondering how you were liking it. You have such fantastic color in the same water system from your 400w reeflux, I'm curious as to your thoughts and experience with the Hydra in your sump.

The Hydra is a nice lighting system the corals look very good top down view and my pearl berry colony has better color and looks nicer than the colony in the display.

So sexy . Good job.
Thank you, this tank is so ridiculously easy to it looking nice with it only being 12 inches deep . The only things I use to keep it looking SO Sexy :lolspin: is a credit card an a magic eraser.
