I've decided that my old reef is taking up too much empty space. I had high hopes for it, but it's just another unfinished dream at this point. Up for sale it goes.
55 Drilled with DIY internal overflow
Black stand
10Gal sump
Mag5 return pump with 7 impeller
DIY recirculating skimmer (ugly but works quite well)
Two twin-tube 54W T5HO lights external ballasts (Odyssea)
I ran this setup for about 18 months very successfully growing leathers, shrooms, & zoas. This is by no means a show piece aquarium. The stand while functional isn't a very nice piece of furniture, and there are some scratches in the glass. The tank and stand used to be oak colored, and I painted the trim black using fusion paint, and the stand was my first attempt at using automotive paint and an HVLP gun. It's not ugly, but it's not something most people want in their livingroom.
