Please pay close attention to this entire ad. If you don't meet the requirements or feel I am unreasonable in my request then just move along.
The time has come for me to part with my large Achilles tang. I have owned him since Oct 1 2007. I purchased him from DFS He is about 6" in size and as healthy of an Achilles as you will find.
Now before I share any other details Ichabod MUST go to someone with at minimum an 8ftx2ftx2ft tank. I do not base tank size off of gallons that a tank is or total system volume. Having owned him for so long I know for a fact he needs a LOT more swim room than a 3, 4, or 5 ft deep dimension can provide, again regardless of the number of gallons.
If you are interested in purchasing Ichabod I ask that you send me a PM with a complete system breakdown of the home he will be going to. Please do not lie to me in an attempt to purchase an Achilles, in the end it will only be the fish that suffers.
If I don't feel comfortable with the information you provided I may ask for pictures of your setup with a tape measure visible. I have been contacted in the past by people who claim to have X size tank though other information they have included just doesn't seem to add up.
Yes I realize I am asking for a lot, but an Achilles tang is a fish that requires a serious hobbyist with a PROPER setup. With their high mortality rate I am being as responsible of a hypocrite as I can be as I truly believe that Achilles for the most part are better off left in the ocean.
Anyone that has really done their research on an Achilles will realize that 3+ years is a LONG time to have an Achilles live. I attribute this to my research and building my tank around him.
I realize times are tough, but I am not going to give him away. I am asking for $250 and I am pretty firm on that. I WILL NOT SHIP HIM. Achilles do not ship well and I do not want him to die from the stress of shipping. DFS is currently asking $280 PLUS shipping for a large Achilles so I feel my price is more than reasonable.

Here are pictures I took of him tonight. I have been ignoring the tank as of late so the photos aren't professional quality.
