I can't get a good pciture of him in our sump because he keeps running through the egg crating over into the chaeto *sigh*. beautiful fish, but we already have a couple of more passive dottybacks and don't want to take a chance on him :(

He came from a fellow reefers tank who was getting out of the hobby.

$90 OBO

Flame Hawk,

$35 OBO
Approximatley 2.5" in length, bright red and healthy. Same source as the fish above, and residing in the same 150g sump/fuge.

Never added them... I got cold feet and the poor guys have been hanging out in our fuge, probably repouplating our once booming pod population *sigh* :(

I am almost tempted to put at least the dottyback in.. he is so beautiful.. I was thinking that the size of the tank would help curb his general aggression issues.. plus, he was in a 30g with seveal very docile, smaller fish, and they seemed to have survived. Although Vern noted a neon goby that went missing from his tank mysteriously :), but his was a BB tank that was set up to be a prop tank, with almost no hiding places... something that usually brings out the worst in dottybacks.. but this guy managed to keep his cool... all of this is tempting me to just add him and be done with it :).. someone buy him and save me from myself !!!!
:)

dottyback sale pending to SALTWATERSIG.

All PMs for the flame hawk have been replied to. It is still available.

It was great to meet you today kttsf. I am sorry that things were so crazy that you didn't get a chance to better check out our tank :(. We will have to set up a time to come out just to talk tank talk :)

Doug, it was great to have met you to today :)

SALTWATERSIG - I look forward to meeting you tomorrow when you come by to pick up your dottyback :)

Hey Tom.
Thanks for the flame hawk. It's beautiful!!! This will be my last fish to my tank. Looking forward to see your big tank if I ever got the chance...it looks amazing from what I can see. Here is the little guy with his new home:) Will definitely take good care of him.

I am glad that you were able to stop out to pick him up and give the little guy a new home :). He looks pretty comfortable already :).

He was eating just about anything that we put into the sump for them.. from arctipods to pellets.. so he shouldn't have any problems with eating in his new home :). Thanks for posting a picture of him for us :D

EDIT : Give us a couple of weeks to get our lose ends tied up then make sure to remind us for you to collect on the private tank tour to talk reef tanks, so that we can answer any "large tank setup" questions that you might have. :)

SALTWATERSIG,

It was great to have met you in person today. It was "fun" catching the little bugger out of the sump.. boy could he scoot and hide in the chaeto and under things when he wanted to... :). I was sad to see him go through, as he was a truly beautiful fish. Let us know how he is doing in his new home :)
