yeah the skimmer is a beast but way too much skimmer on a 40 breeder. downgraded her to a smaller skimmer.

too much skimmer?

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a RLSS 6i, but concerned it might also be to much skimmer for my setup. 40Gal, 16galSUMP. Only a pair a Clowns that are total pigs in the tank so far and some invertebrates. Currently running the TUNZE 9004 and it pulls out good (WET) skimmate. What concerns did you have running this on the 40Breeder? I'm fine with overkill and toning it down a bit. Certainly do not want to skim off all my good nutrients and trace elements though. Any feedback would be appreciated. will be keeping mixed reef in the tank

FS: SKIMMER RLSS R6i

It's too big. I had it on a similar setup in my gf tank and it was barely pulling any black gunk. Downgraded to a smaller and now I get dark skimmate. I have like a pair of clowns and 3 other fishes.
