FS: Tunze Recirculation Pump Silence 1073.040

For sale, used Tunze Silence 1073.040 recirculation pump. I just upgraded my return pump, so this one is for sale.

It's very quiet and only draws 42 watts to push almost 800gph. Specs are as follows:

Pumping capacity: 3,000 l/h (792 USgal./h).
Energy consumption: 42 W.
Pumping head: 3 m (118.1 in.).
Voltage / frequency: 230 V / 50 Hz (115 V / 60 Hz).


Price: $100. (is $150 brand new) Pick up in Alameda. Soaking in a vinegar bath now, waiting for a new home.

I picked up an ATB Flowstar 1500. Twice the wattage to run it, but also a lot more flow. It works a lot better for my 120 gallon tank.

I rarely head down to the south bay, I hate the traffic to get down there. :headwalls: I live near the tube in Alameda, so you won't be on the streets much if you come up. I'll give you some frags too if that can sweeten the deal.

Otherwise, I can meet you at Aquatic Collection. I know it's not much closer for you, but that's about as far south as I will travel.

i'm running an eheim 1262 on my 120...it's 900gph. what's the effect of lowering it by 100gph? i'm looking for something quiet quiet quiet...

If you are running it as a straight return pump, I think it should be fine. I am using a single pump to tee off some flow to my fuge, and also through a chiller. With all of the head loss, the Tunze simply wasn't enough.
