Just kidding! But if you are curious about the alpaca industry there is a show this weekend at the fair grounds. The Spring show is not as big as the one in the Fall, but there should still be plenty of animals to check out. I'll be there (Oden Alpacas) with two yearling boys; if you want to get your hands on an animal say hi!

If you do have any sps you're willing to frag or simply wouldn't mind showing off your system and drink a beer or two, or not, I'm free both evenings.

There is an alpaca farm 1/2 mile from my house. Gossamer Farms, Camillus NY. Not sure if you've heard of them? I hear the folk that run it are splitting, so I'm not sure what's to come of it. It's cool to see them out all the time.

I live on some rocky poor soil and my gardens grow well even in mediocre light in my compost soil. They say the Incan Empire grew from the alpaca poop. You need to be careful that the animals were eating herbicide free hay however.

Ahhh good tip. Never thought to ask. I wanna get a few cu ft or maybe a yard if it were at all possible. Know anyone out in wayne county area?

There are a few farms in that area. The big one is AL Pacas in Weedsport. The Caldwells will more than likely know others perhaps closer to you.
