here is the deal i have a ap 24 gallon tank i redid it had been running for about 1 year before redue. right now i have just 6 sps in the tank wiht clean up crew will only be adding 1 maybe 2 fish at some piont. i have no skimmer on the tank and due a 5 gallon water change every 10 to 12 days. i had a aqua clear mod fug on it but it tended to drain macro back into the tank and now i have a couple of spots on the rock that have cheto growth. my nitrates are arround 5 to 10. i had a 10 gallon tank drilled today and i am going to put a fuge on the system. shoudl i go with a 6 inch sand bed and cheto wiht light or would i see more benifit out of just running a 8 to 10 inch sand bed in the dark no chato.. can someone shed some light on this for me...

I would go with the chaeto 3 to 4 inch sand in fuge and the strip light to conserve space. add a skimmer if you can. I have a Berlin on my 20.
water changes weekly help too.
