Its Awesome!

absolutely amazing tank! Quick question. Now that your tank is fully matured do you still like the fact that you have that alley-way in the back of the tank? Or do you wish you would have moved the rocks back just to have more room? Thanks, and again spectacular tank!

Thanks! If I started a tank from scratch today I would still have the alley in the back. The Tunzes I have back there really keep the flow going behind the reef and help create a surge within the whole tank. Flow throughout the entire tank is critical. I do have to frag corals near the front glass a lot but that is not always a bad thing!

Ya i understand. First time I've seen it work this well. I am buying a 180g on Thursday so I am looking around at every type of tank. But I really like your tanks aquascaping. Is there one thing you might do a little differently with the rocks if you could? Thanks

Bum you are the bomb! :lol2:

two times tank of the month chapion, amazing reef, congrats man!

impressive progression pictures

If I had the room I would have gone 36" wide vs. 30".

Thanks Rodrigo_BG and bermocrf250!

it's really nice to see the progress. I find it so hard sometimes to find the patience to wait for things to take shape in my tanks...

Once again congratulations for your beautiful coral reef tank.

What is the name of these coral?

Do you know what is your no3 & po4 levels?

Thanks grabthereef and eggerstout!

Many thanks. Yes...patience is key. I feel it is very important to leave things alone as much as possible and let nature take its course.

This coral was faded and almost brown for a long time. I had it under too much light and it started to thrive on the bottom of my tank with much less light.

As for nitrates, my levels are around 2.5. Not sure about the phosphates but I know I have some. I use phosphate remover but I do have some algea. I think it is better to have low levels of no3 & po4 vs. zero since it would starve the corals.

thanks for the information, your tank is impressive and an inspiration for me, I also notice that you don't dose any kind of carbon source neither bacterias, do you think it's unnecessary? IMO the frequently amount of wc is what makes your tank shine, plus your talent for sure.

What do you use to test your nitrates? Im wondering whats the best tester for nitrates. Thanks
