Very Very nice, do you dose anything?
I use Reef Nutrition Roti-Feast and Oyster Feast as well as Tropic Marin Pro Coral Zooton. I also feed cyclopeeze and use Lugols solution.

Thanks guys!

Love that branching staghorn on the right. :bum:

absolutely amazing! You must be putting some type of black market SPS growth hormone into your tank :)

Keep up the amazing work.

Thanks Rickrooz1 and UtahReefer

So do I. I got that as a 1 1/2 frag from Reefstuff.com and it has great colr and grows like a weed in my tank.

Thanks! No....just a secret sauce :)

Did you use ULNS in you tank ?
Nope....I do the heavy import and export approach. I do 60% water changes a month and feed and skim a lot.

Do you really have a secret sauce or is that just a joke?

How do you do such a large water change? Do you do some every week, or once a month do a 60% change? If you do that much all at once, you must have some sort of "process" to make it low impact so it doesn't disturb you tank right? Any chance you can spell out or describe your water change process and set up?
Great tank, I hope I can be as sucessful as you have. I like the high feed, high water change idea. What do you feed your tank? SPS purpose made food too?

How in the world did you get such incredible growth? I set up my 180 in Jan. 2007 and have NO WHERE near the growth you've had! All my params have been stable but everything grows soooo slowly for me. I'm your new biggest fan!! Fantastic tank! I guess that's why you have 2 TOTM.

Very kool! I love the the fact that you wanted to see your tank over time. What is wondeful about technology today is that we have it and it allows us to keep track.
Nice going! I hope my tank does as good as yours!

No "secret sauce" :D Just what I mentioned before...Reef Nutrition Roti-Feast and Oyster Feast as well as Tropic Marin Pro Coral Zooton, cyclopeeze and Lugols solution.

As for water changes, I do about 35 gallons a week. I have it set up with 2 55g barrels, one with RO and another with pre-mixed salt water. I turn a couple of valves and I can pump the water in and out in approx. 10 minutes. Setting it up this way was critical to me since I didn't want to spend a lot of time with water changes.

Thanks! I have been keeping reefs for over 15 years so that has certainly helped. Keeping my parameters stable (especially ALK) is key as well as goo husbandry. I am also a big believer in keeping the hands out of the tank! Don't keep re-arranging and moving stuff around. Put it in and let nature do its thing. As I have said before, I also feel the 400W radiums on HQI ballasts have a lot to do with the tank's success as well as high import and export.

Did you add the single Bartletts Anthias by itself, or did its mates die off?
The mates died off and he has become aggressive towards the other Anthias so adding more could be a problem.

Bro your tank is one of my favorite!! I hope one day I can get my tank to look half as good as that! :)
Thanks!

stunning.

The green slimer is a monster.
And thank you! It does grow like a weed :D
