i copied the basic idea from jeffbrig....

I've finally made it on RC - someone borrowed an idea from my setup. :D :D

Here's mine:

i can move the lights if i need to get into the tank.. that is one reason why i want to use the bicycle pulleys, ease of use...

Gabe thanks for the up close pics !!I really like your set up I think it is one of the best on RC cant wait to see it on Tank of the month

It will be a while before i get to that stage there are too many nice tanks here on RC....

I have the Deltec up and running now... getting some nice small bubbles in the body really happy with the way it is working....

and the drain line that connects directly into the deltec....

Ammonia levels are starting to drop off with water changes so i hope to be able to put the fish in beginning of next month....

My replacement controller for the aquatronica is on the way.. once i get that the whole tank will be automated...no more getting my hands wet...:D

That Deltec is smoking! So far how is the Aquatronica? I have an ACIII Pro and discovered it will only run one tank and there is a fairly tight limit on the amps per plug. They are going to release a box to allow/control more probes soon, but of course, at an extra cost.

Are you happy with yours? Pluses or minuses?

From what it can do it is great.... the fact that you can update it without having to buy a new unit is a plus...

What's nice about aquatronica is their commitment to making products for us here in the US. It seems almost endless with what it can do...

Hey gab when are you going to put the stand face on? When you do could i get a couple of pics upclose like the other ones .
thanks again
Corey

lol no problem... probably next weekend i am going to Vegas manana.... i need 4 guys to help me bring that beast in.... ill be sure to hook you up.

Thanks man I would like to do something similair to yours in oak with the flared out molding on the top and bottom and I also like the square ends. I am almost ready to start constructing my stand.

make sure you post some pics here...

One more thing where is the best place to buy plumbing. I need a 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 inch bulk heads and a bunch of gate/ball valves. I seen the valves at Home depot and Lowes for around 15 dolllars.

don't get those they are cheap... if something goes wrong you want to be able to take your plumbing apart...

Savko sells George Fisher true union ball valves and aquaticeco sells hayward bulkheads.. a leak is not something you want on a nice size tank....

spring the extra few bucks on those items.. you wont regret it.....

lol trust me i know Murphy's law... at least be prepared for it... i cracked a few plumbing items and because i used true union thread by thread ball valves i was able to take the entire plumbing assembly apart and replace individual pieces... it may cost an extra 100 bucks total but you will thank yourself every time you have to unscrew something to take it off to clean to or fix it...

the George Fisher ball valves are very easy to turn, trust me at least spring for those.... Savko.com

I agree with Bebo77, they are about twice as much, but they open/close much more smoothly and sched 80 is alot stronger then sched 40... I think I paid like $37.00 ea for the 2" True Union Ball Valves...

Hey!

Sorry it took me so long to reply. That stand and canopy looks great! Your tank is coming along nicely too. Can't wait to see some more updated pics.
