Were they very small chromis? I am a little concerned cause I plan to put 10-20 in my 360. I have two 6200's and a lot of return. I have 2 inch long overflow teeth, but not very wide. you got you tank from James right? Did you get standard teeth? Do you plan on moving them back to the the big tank when they grow some? Nice acropora, I have no idea what kind it is, but I think you should name it a cotton candy acropora :)

I have 2x 6100s in my 92gal bow with 3 chromis and I have not had any issues...

From everything I have heard about Chromis is that you should buy twice as many as you want because they are not very hardy at first. Once you have a school of survivors they will do ok. HTH

I looked up a few things on the net and found the following :

Care Level: Easy

This fish is very hardy, a tester fish when cycling a tank, also this fish is a schooling fish and a perfect beginner fish.

Well a lot has changed since my last post...

I redid my lights...

i went to fragfarmer and got a frag pack...

I also went to reefermadness and got another frag pack...

I also got some new fish....

and a pair of black onyx fron rods-reef

Tossed a few stamps in eh? :D

What's up with the algae? Do you have a lot of nitrate and phosphate in your system or is it from switching around the lights?

Yah, nasty green stage there. :(

I know people say it's part of the cycle on a new tank but I simply refuse to believe that. The only thing that should happen is a diatom bloom. Hopefully you know the cause. Where did the rock come from?

those frags do look like stamps in there.. lol but its a lot cheaper than buy whole coral...

nitrates are nill i just dont have a cleaning crew in there... tangs are doing a job but they dont really work on the right side of the tank... they need help...

clean up crew will be in by next month...:D

rock came from ocean pro.. i dont mind the green.. it will eventually all be purple anyways....

It won't be purple if that is algae other than green coraline which it doesn't look like it is.....

really??? i figured that it would turn purple over time... what should i do.. scrape it off????

Is that a trick question? :D

Seriously, you should read up on algae problems, how to prevent, how to cure. It doesn't like your average green hair algae but it might develop into it. You can scrape it off but it will prolly just grow back so you need to identify the root cause. Test your water for phosphates and silicates. With all those tangs hair algae shouldn't really be a problem so it could be some encrusting green algae - the kind that you scrape off the glass. But it looks pretty furry in places so.....

its pretty nice color green so i never stressed over it... there are a few spots that i know i need to get to...

ill do some reading up and see if i can remove it... suggestions are welcome though

I would not worry too much about it at this stage in the tank, myself. The clean up crew will help a lot, if that does not do it then I would start to worry. This is presuming that you are testing and things look ok on that front. When my 55 started up, I had some, but then between the crew and my fuge it was all gone soon. Are you running macro algea in your fuge?

yes i am but that too is just starting up.. i started with a zip log bag full now i have about 1.5 gallons worth...

ill get the clean up crew and give them a couple of weeks.. if that does not do the trick ill have a lot of work on my hands..

if anyone know a trick let me know on how to get rid of this stuff...

Oooh that Onyx is going to be awesome when it gets older. They are by far the best clowns out there. Tank looking awesome dude.

looks good :)
u should get a clean up crew in there ASAP & it will take care of the problem, u are going to need a lot of snails.

Okay, I'm jealous. It must be awesome to have places like this where you can just stop in and buy stuff!

Looks great!

I think the clean up crew will help a lot with that algea, but I'd at least get a few large turbos in there ASAP to start mowing it down
