Looking' good, Gabriel. How are things going with the moorish idol? Is it eating well? I've long been tempted to get one, but always held off because of their somewhat poor record in captivity. I have a type of macroalgae growing on my LR that I'm told Moorish Idols love, but interestingly none of my tangs will touch it.

Not to steal the other Gabriel's thread, but I just had to get rid of a Moorish Idol that ate like a pig because he decided SPS tasted good too. Just an FYI

i have quite a large collection of zoas and the idol got a taste for them so i was forced to sell him to a fellow reefer.. he never had a taste for SPS though....

hey, but they are so cool looking. my LFS has about 1 dozen+ of them right now and they are all very healthy and eating well. not for me though!

I know what you mean. I spotted a pair on them a reef in Maui a couple of years ago, and spent 1/2 hour chasing them and taking pictures.

Maybe he just liked the Zoas better and wasnt finished eating those before starting on the SPS???
