This thread is amazing.. I was so proud of my growth of my little nubs until I saw all of yours!
Here is a pic of my Garf Brown Bonsai. I've got the it in one of the lowest light spots in my tank.. and it still only teases me with a glimmer of purple.
Pic of my GPB I have it mid tank level and I'm running cree led's and it stays deep purple with neon green polyps one of my favortes lol btw sick pix guys!!!!
reefrf, what kind of trigger is that in your pic? Its hard to tell if its a blue jaw or a sargassum? A buddy of mine is coming back from the bahamas on july 8th and he promised to bring me back a small sargassum trigger. CANT WAIT!
But in any event, i didnt find this thread looking for triggers, lol. I am picking up a frag on bonsai today after work. Ill try to post on here once i have it in the tank.
**Edit
On closer inspection i believe it is a sargassum trigger. I can see the markings on the jaw and the pattern on the body. Do you have a better picture of the trigger? You mind pming me it? Not trying to get the thread off topic.
Mine is in high light high flow and is mostly brown with purple tips. All the new growth is coloring up nicely, but the parts that were there are still brown as they were when I bought it:
Just realized this was a necro bump... Sorry poster above me, I don't have great skills when it comes to IDing SPS yet.
From my last tank. Not sure if I am going to keep it this time around, it grows pretty quick and takes up space. If I find a good spot for it I may grow it out again. Everyone has this where I live.
Figured I would share even thought it's an old post because i just shared it a few days ago.
