I find the Garf needs nutrients more than light. It likes food. It gets really rich coloration in LPS tanks.

I agree, in a well fed tank and it will color up good. I have had rich color under all three types of lighting. In tanks I have seen that were understocked it was pale, especially with LEDs. Although a well fed led tank can bring out a really nice color as well.

Under intense light GARF Purple Bonsai is very purple but loose the green color from the polyps a little. At the outside where the light is intense the polyps are white instead of green

These pictures make me drool, I just scored a frag & am unsure exactly where to place it now.....I'm running Hydra52's 6" AWL on a 24" tall tank Any suggestions?
I know to start low.
