garlic in food ok?

Is it ok to add a very small amout of fresh garlic to my own recipe fish food
It includes shrimp, squid, scallop vitamin crushed thera spectrum a+ pellets and is then frozen thawed and grated mixed with alittle tank water and fed.

the reason i ask is I have a little ich outbreak and am trying to sort it.

I wouldnt suggest feeding the garlic to the fish, but Ive soaked my food many times with half of a clove of garlic for about 20-30 mins. Then take it out before you put in the food. The natural oils get released into the food which does the same as garlic extreme or any garlic product (IMO)

I wouldnt chop it up so they actually eat the raw garlic though

you could soak the food in garlic, it's fine. i prefer this over chopped bits simply cause then garlic won't sink to the bottom of the tank. just make sure there are no additives that might hurt the fish.

I recently read and can not remember where, a good documented article on garlic. What I took away was not to use garlic. Not a great response but I am not going to use garlic.
