Gary, a while ago I posted how my effluent tube on my GEO reactor gets plugged, then the reactor chamber becomes packed with CO2 breaking down the media. I subsequently ran out of CO2 really quickly.

Anyway, you had mentioned that you've had the same problem. You said, you replaced the effluent with a wider diameter tubing?

What did you use, how'd you connect it.

My GEO warranty says it's void if you use reactor with anything other than supplied hardware. Does that mean switching it is risky?

Thanks GM

Cully- I think that I'm using standard aquarium airline tubing- you know, the clear plastic stuff sold at every pet store on the planet.

MY reactor unit originally had a thicker wall black tubing that was prone to clogging. It would get brittle quickly and then clog. I got tired of repeatedly cutting off the clogged end.

The effluent line on my reactor is connected with a pressure type fitting. I use teflon tape to keep the connection nice and tight.

It's unlikely that swapping out the effluent line will void the warranty on your reactor.

Gary, is the stuff you're talking about the clear plastic stuff you'd use for say a fresh water air pump?

The stuff my reactor came with is that thick black rigid stuff. Like the ones for an RO/DI unit.
