Well, the order has been placed & according to John, I thought he was going to ship the package out today, but I have not received any confirmation Email from him weather or not the package has been shipped out yet.
In case it is shipped out, as soon as I receive it I will send a message out. I will temperature acclimate everything once I receive it & we can plan on picking it up after 6 PM.

I was lost in the day & did not realize yesterday was Tuesday & today is Wednesday. It is correct, it will be shipped out today & we should get it Thursday. I will update everybody with tracking number soon.

I am not sure how RCs works, but usually packages arrive by 10AM. Are you going to be around at this time? It would be easier for me to pickup earlier then 6PM, but if not I can make it work. I am also just making sure it wont be sitting outside all day. Thanks!

My wife will be home to sign & pick up the package. It idea is to temperature acclimate all the bags. In case the packages are separated by buyers already, you can pick it up earlier. I will know after I receive the package & will send a PM with address & details.

I received the package. It is sorted by last name. If you like to pick it up this afternoon, please drop by between 1-3 PM. I will PM you the address.

on their website go under the acclimation heading. It says to float bag in tank for 15 minutes then throw water and paper away, and place snails in tank.

1. Float the bag in your tank to get the snail used to the temperature in your aquarium.

2. Wait 15 minutes.

3. Add animals to the tank, discard shipping water and any towels used in the packaging.

Important: Snails may go through shock during shipping, and be closed when they arrive. You should give them plenty of time to come out of their shells and move around before deciding they didn't make the trip. Ceriths may go dormant for up to 3 days.

You may find this to be different than the acclimation procedure you are used to carrying out. The reason we now ask our customers to use this procedure is because our snails and crabs live intertidally, and can handle swings in ph/salinity without a problem. However, what they can't handle is toxic levels of ammonia. During the shipping process, ammonia levels in the shipping bags build, while the ph level goes down. As the ph goes down the toxicity of ammonia also goes down. However, when your tank water with normal ph is introduced to the shipping bags, and the ph rises, so does the toxicity of the ammonia, and you will be poisoning the livestock. Please don't do this and certainly never let livestock sit out in buckets with shipping water exposed to fresh air for a long period of time, we know of no surer way to kill your new arrivals. Any other method of acclimation voids the Alive Arrival Guarantee. It is an easy method of acclimation and it works fine, please follow it.

Macro Algae and Mangrove Acclimation

1. Float the bag in your tank to get the macro used to the temperature in your aquarium.

2. Wait 15 minutes.

3. Add macroalgae and mangroves to your tank, discard any water.

Macroalgae and mangroves should be slowly acclimatd to light too if possible, you can do this by shading them, or keeping them towards the edges of the light fixture for the first few days.
