GBTA ate cleaner shrimp?

I've kept both, but not together. Acclimated a clean shrimp last night. It's gone this morning. Is the BTA to blame? I have no other known predators in the tank.

Just wondered if i gave the amenome a live, expensive meal?

Thanks,
Ben

i dont think shrimps are very meaty and ime btas like meaty foods. maybe it just died and your cleanup crew got to work.

my long tentacled loved shrimp. yes they are meaty their tail is all meat ever had lobster,, better yet foolio ever had shrimp
lol

I just got my first BTA this weekend so I'm a total newbie to them but I've seen it twice now trying to pull in a hermit crab that got to close. I surely wouldn't be surprised if yours ate your cleaner shrimp.

FWIW - cleaners and condi have a symbosis with eachother and my two were like long lost pals - never leaving eachother. my condi died, and my cleaner and gbta get along well on the same rock.

I dont know how big your tank is, but I have a 120 and I have 3 shrimp, a cleaner and 2 peppermints, and they disapear all the time, I go days without seeing them. It may just be hidden really well, especially if you have a large tank.

My cleaner dances around, and sometimes over, my BTA and seems completly unfazed. BTAs really aren't that sticky, I kind of doubt he's to blame. What fish are in there?
