GCA Completely Burying Itself in DSB

I've had my 8" Green Carpet for about 4 and a half months. It eats well, has good color and a nice tight mouth. It has occasionally moved but for the most part stays in one place. Today for some reason, it completely buried itself in the DSB. I spent 5 minutes looking for it before I spotted a small portion barely exposed near the rocks. I have never seen it do this before. When I unearthed it, it expanded to about half its normal size.

I have a 120 gallon tank and all of the water parameters are well within specs. I just double checked them to make sure.

Has anyone ever heard of this before or witnessed it?

It is normal for S. haddoni to bury his foot in the sand. He will reach out and open up on the surface of the sand. I am sure he will open-up and will be fine tomorrow. Leave hime alone. Don't unearth him.
Keep us up date. A picture would be great.

Thanks Minh. Mine has always kept his foot well buried in the sand but I have never seen him submerge his whole body under the sand like he did today.
