Yes, you should use a nut driver to tighten the bolts. You do not need to crank them down, just make sure they are snug.

Hey, what's the big idea Eric. I few more items and you will pass me for the most GEO products:lol:

I have had one for many years and do not used a nut driver on the bolts, hand tighten only.

Are you referring to the older thumb screws or the newer hex head screws?

I have the thumb screws too, which can be hand tightened with no problem. The newer hex head screws are made to be tightened with a nut driver.

Question. I have the 618 calcium reactor, and the deal included the Milwaukee (ma957) c02 regulator. I'm having some issues dialing it in. My black knob on the front I can get to ABOUT 15-18 BPM. If I turn it just a faction more, it goes to like 500. Logically, I would think that I could dial back the needle valve (on the end) and that may make the large black knob a little less finicky. However, Milwaukee's documentation states "only use the needle valve if you an not get exact flow from adjustment knob (E)" (that's the big black one).

Does anyone have to do this? I assume their warning isn't for no reason. Does dialing the needle in cause issues? Maybe I have too much pressure in my tank, maybe one of my knobs is set wrong. If I do dial back the needle, any suggestion on how many turns (or what fraction of one)?

Thanks.

You should be able to fine tune it with the needle valve. I would think about getting a precision needle valve to put in the regulator. I have a AquaMedic regulator and the needle valve is very accurate and easy to adjust.

I would assume I could maybe keep the Milwaukee unit up to the solenoid, and then hopefully find a "precision needle valve" somewhere? _Hopefully_ a universal thread? heh

I'll mess around with the needle valve some and see if I can get that working. The way it read, they didn't seem too keen on us using that valve ;)

Getting my GEO membership more in depth now. My Kalk Reactor came today and will work well on the other tank. The 612 and the Kalk are very well built and worth the money spent

What would cause gas bubble build up at the top of the lid, I have the Geo 612, I'm not running it with the recommended feed pump, I'm using a minijet, could this have something to do with it?

Thanks
