That's okay, he loves to answer questions for other people.

If I know the answer, why not ?? Is there something wrong with that ??

Do you think that the Eheim pump would make less noise then the Ocean Runner 3500 pump.?

RG, I think the Ehiem might do a better job...George mentioned to me a few months ago thathe was going to run some test on a bunch of pumps but I haven't heard anything..

Chris could you tell golfish and me what kind of pumps George is running test on?

It looks like it is not a good time to buy a GEO skimmer until the pump tests are over. One pump came from Germany but the cost is high.

Yes, but it seems like most of the German made products are expensive.
I like the Sedra 12000 that he has put on a couple of skimmers. And the Dart needle wheel skimmers are great if you don't mind having an air pump to feed it.

Thought you guys might get a kick out of George's first Kalk reactor.. Its really not all that different then then one he makes today.

Hey gang, just wanted to chime in on Geo products. I just got my 6X12 from Premium Aquatics. Piece of cake to get up and running. I'm using ARM media. I am looking at upgrading my protein skimmer, and because of his quality I think I am going with a Geo also. My question is that in all of the posts in this thread I am seeing a number of different styles of PS from Geo. However his website as of today only shows 1 model and one size, what gives?

He's a busy man and I think that the web site is on the back burner right now:)

Try this thread and link to phishybusiness

Should have the basics covered for you:)

George can pretty much make you what ever you want. He made me an 8-3 recirc a few years ago using a Ocean Runner pump. I'd kind of like to swap it out for the new Ehiem that ER has out. (hint hint geroge) I know he makes biggers skimmers, I doubt He'll make anything smaller then the 8-3 tho.

You just can't beat the quality of his stuff. He's great to deal with and comes through big time when you need him.

anyone using mesh on their geo skimmers? they are still using genx 's right??

Not yet but I plan to try some on my Ocean Runner.

George will use any pump he can get... I'd like to see what that new Ehiem can do...although I do like the Ocean Runner

cward-has George ran a test on the Meshwheel ,it would seem that it is doing much better then the needlewheel. pumps.

I don't know, George put the impeller together. As scientific as the mesh needle wheel thread is getting:rolleyes:, I don't buy into the different combos of mesh making a whole lot of difference.
Has anyone actually come up with a way to measure bubble diameter?

The best measure so far has been the Dwyer RMB 53 D flowmeter to chech the air input to the skimmer. When the meshwheel is used the air input to the skimmer goes up .Did George used a air flowmeter on your pump to chech for any change?

No, he has tested a mesh needl wheel on a different pump though. Mine was just to see if we could increase the head height using a different needle wheel, but we knew what the answer was going to be before we started. I even tried it with the stock impeller and it was a no go, because of the are getting pulled in to the venturi.

cward do you know if George chech the air input on the Geo professional skimmers models 835--846--1235, That 1235 has a good price on it at $2,299.00
